How to change the owner of a PersonaTool workspace

It is possible to change a PersonaTool workspace owner by requesting it from our support, but there are a few prerequisites, and the process requires some preparation on your side. Please take the following steps before you request a workspace owner change:

1. The user who is intended to be the new workspace owner must join the PersonaTool workspace.

2. The user who is intended to be the new workspace owner can't be the owner of any other PersonaTool workspace.

3. The user who is intended to be the new workspace owner can access - be a member of - all the boards added to the PersonaTool workspace.

4. Request owner change by sending an email to support@geeksight.co from the email address of the current workspace owner. This email address needs to be the same as the email address of the Trello user of the current workspace owner. Please provide the following information:

  • Workspace identifier
  • Email address of the current workspace owner
  • Email address of the new workspace owner

5. We will update the appropriate settings and notify you and the new workspace owner when we're ready.

6. As a final step, the new workspace owner needs Re-authenticate PersonaTool by opening the Power-Ups board menu → PersonaTool Settings → Edit Power-Up settings menu and clicking on the Re-authenticate PersonaTool menu item.

If an error occurs during re-authenticate, the new owner probably isn't a member of all boards added to the PersonaTool workspace. 

She can check it by opening the Boards page in PersonaTool. 

The new workspace owner needs to be added to the boards as a member, and then she has to try re-authenticate again.
