Working with the AI Assistant

Imagine an extra team member who generates drafts, proofreads notes, fixes grammar and spelling, translates your text to different languages, and simplifies complex sentences. Beyond that, it can help brainstorm ideas, summarize lengthy documents, and even respond to queries with relevant information.

Apart from using the built-in prompts, you also have the chance to ask entirely unique questions to the AI Assistant. These can be related to the text you're working on, or about something completely different. You can also save your custom prompt for later use. To do that, after typing your prompt, click on the Save prompt and ask button instead of the Ask Assistant option.

There are three different ways to interact with the AI Assistant:

    • If you want to ask the AI freely or want it to work on your entire document, use the menu at the top toolbar of the editor.
    • If you want AI help on a specific part of your text, select the text in the editor and open AI from the selection toolbar.
    • If you want continuous AI help while you are writing, click on the magic wand icon on the right side of the currently editing paragraph or use keyboard shortcuts to run AI prompts instantly.

For example, type f and press Tab at the end of a paragraph for an instant grammar and spelling check.

To overcome writer's block or simply continue your writing flow, type + for a short suggestion, ++ or +++ for longer suggestions, then press Tab . If you're not satisfied with the suggestion, pressing Tab again will prompt the AI for an alternative. If the suggestion meets your needs, pressing Enter will add it to your document.

To view all available shortcuts, type ? and press Tab . For quick access to a complete list of all available AI prompts, including your saved ones, type ? and press Tab twice.

Try AI right now. Open the menu at the top toolbar and take a look at the available AI prompts. Type ++ and press TAB at the end of this sentence to ask the AI to continue writing this paragraph.
